International Dispute Resolution Volume 2: Dialogue Between Courts in Times of Globalization and Regionalization [hardcover]

The topic of the 2nd St. Gallen 'International Dispute Resolution Conference' was 'Judicial dialogue' from various perspectives. The conference featured outstanding speakers with rich experience in their respective fields. They shared their views on judicial dialogue from a wide array of professional backgrounds: as academics, counsels, judges or arbitrators.

Four panels and four keynotes dealt with the subject matter in question. The first panel addressed the dialogue between the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg. The second panel concentrated on the issue in the field of arbitration. The third panel was dedicated to the application of uniform law and the fourth panel focused on judicial dialogue in the context of bankruptcy law. During this conference many aspects which surround judicial dialogue have been covered since its significance has increased over time due to globalization and the judicialization of international law.
